Donate to Marana Nonprofits Every Time You Buy or Sell a Home

Did you know that when you work with me on your next real estate transaction, you are also helping donate to Marana nonprofits that are doing incredible work right here in our community?

That is not a tagline. It is something I built into the way I do business because Marana is not just a market to me. It is my home. And I believe that when real estate is done with intention, it should give back to the people and animals who make this place worth living in.

Here are the five organizations your transaction helps support, and why each one of them matters to me personally.

Karuna Horse Rescue

If you have ever driven through the open desert land around Marana and felt that quiet, wide open sense of peace, you already understand why a place like Karuna exists out here.

Karuna Horse Rescue takes in horses that have been neglected, abandoned, or were headed for slaughter, and gives them something most of them have never had before. Safety. Space. A life lived on their own terms. These horses are never ridden or put to work again. They are simply allowed to be horses, which sounds simple until you understand how rare that actually is.

Karuna has been caring for their herd right here in the greater Marana and Tucson area since 2015, and the work they do is quiet, consistent, and deeply compassionate. I am proud to support them.

Sol Dog Lodge and Training Center

Sol Dog Lodge is one of those Marana gems that I genuinely love to talk about because they are doing something that goes way beyond boarding and training.

As a nonprofit right here on Tangerine Business Loop in Marana, Sol Dog’s mission is to keep dogs and families together. That means when life gets hard and someone is at risk of surrendering their dog, Sol Dog steps in with resources, training support, and temporary care to help keep that family whole. They also show up for the broader Marana community through events and partnerships with other local organizations.

They recently opened a brand new campus after years of fundraising and growing, and it is a beautiful facility that this community deserves. If you have a dog, you already need to know about Sol Dog Lodge.

Cherished Tails Senior Dog Rescue

This one genuinely gets me every time.

Cherished Tails is a Marana-based, all-volunteer rescue that focuses on senior dogs, the ones most likely to be overlooked in shelters simply because they are older or have medical needs. They rescue these dogs, place them in foster homes across the area, and make sure every single one of them gets the love and care they deserve in their final chapter.

For dogs that are not adoptable, Cherished Tails provides hospice care so those pups are never alone. Every dog in this program lives in a real home with a real family, not a kennel. That level of compassion is something I deeply respect, and I am honored to support their work.

Ironwood Pig Sanctuary

Yes, you read that right. Pigs. And wait until you hear this.

Right here in Marana, Ironwood Pig Sanctuary is home to hundreds of pot-bellied pigs who were abandoned, neglected, or surrendered by owners who were not prepared for the reality of caring for them. Ironwood gives every single one of them a permanent home, which is no small thing when you are talking about an operation this size.

They are the largest pot-bellied pig sanctuary in Arizona and one of the largest in the entire country, and they operate entirely on donations. No government funding. Just people who care showing up for animals who need them.

They also offer tours on Saturday mornings during the cooler months, and I am telling you, it is one of the most unique and heartwarming experiences you can have in Marana. Put it on your list.

Marana Food Bank

I never want food insecurity to get lost in the conversation about giving back, because the need is real and it is right here in our own town.

The Marana Food Bank serves our neighbors who are going through hard times, but what I love most about them is that they are thinking beyond just today’s meal. They offer community programs designed to fight the cycle of hunger from the inside out, providing hands-on trade training to students who want to build real skills and increase their earning potential. That is not just feeding a community. That is investing in its future.

When we close on your home together, part of what we have accomplished is making sure someone in our community has food on the table and a real shot at something better. That means everything to me.

Why I Built It This Way

I came to Marana and fell in love with it fast. The sunsets, the Sonoran Desert, the sense that this town is growing but still has its heart in the right place. I wanted to build a real estate practice that reflects those same values.

Helping clients donate to Marana nonprofits with every transaction is my way of making sure that every deal I close leaves this community a little better than it was before.

When you work with me, you get a Realtor who knows this market, fights for your best outcome, and genuinely cares about what happens here long after the closing table. And together, we get to support the organizations that are quietly making Marana a better place to call home.

If you are thinking about buying or selling in Marana, I would love to connect. I am always just a message away.
